Do you actively work or have an interest in Out-of-School Time learning? Consider joining the American Educational Research Association's (AERA) Out-of-School Time Special Interest Group (OST SIG). We are an international group of scholars actively researching within the OST and complementary fields.
As a member, you gain many benefits:

opportunity to present your research during the annual AERA meeting at one of our substantive sessions;

serve as a peer reviewer, discussant, and/or Chair at our annual OST sessions;

engage in an active discussion on OST's key issues during the business session at the AERA's annual meeting;

receive our newsletter, OST World: Research Connections, which illuminates the scholarly work of our members, and be featured in it yourself;

run for OST SIG office and become our officer;

Dues are just $10/annually for scholars & $5/annually for graduate students. Membership expires each year on Dec. 31st.
HOW TO JOIN
All members of the OST SIG must be members of the American Educational Research Association. If you are not a member of AERA and would like to join, you can do so online. You will have the option to become a member of the OST SIG while you are becoming an AERA member. The charge to become a member of the SIG is $10 per year, or $5 for students.
If you are already a member of AERA and would like to join the OST SIG, log in to your personal membership page, click on the “SIG Memberships” link and select “Purchase additional SIG memberships.” This link will allow you to choose the OST SIG.
